U15s roll on…
The U15s visited Kilmington on a pleasantly warm evening for the second time this season, this time for a League match where they had ambitions of continuing with their 2013 season winning run (3 from 3).

Jemma won the toss and elected to field first. Buckhorn’s fielding and catching looked a little rusty at times with a number of spilled chances, but the bowlers continued to toil away. Kilmington did not score freely, but extras totalled 22 and one of the Kilmington openers was quick to punish any lose balls, before eventually being caught for 43. Kilmington made a very gettable 83 in their 16 overs losing just 3 wickets along the way.  Six bowlers were used with Angus, Harry, and Max taking a wicket apiece.

In reply Harry (43*) – looking to continue his fine form – and George (35) set about knocking off the runs in quick time (8.1 overs). However, Buckhorn lost George when the score was on 83 and one run needed for victory.  The U15s look forward to next week’s encounter at home against Shillingstone B which will be their first home game of the 2013 season.
