Ah well – a little reality check!
Buckhorn batted first and against some very accurate (and quite quick!) bowling lost wickets regularly. Despite best efforts we hovered around the break even score of 200 really until the last 4 overs when Charlie and Felix biffed the score up to 225.
When we bowled we did well to keep them in check for the first 1/2 dozen overs by taking early wickets (Leo, Harry and Charlie) but their later batsmen then did some biffing of their own, and Blandford ran out deserved winners.
Our fielding was, once again, very keen.
We fielded an inexperienced team and came up against a side that are second season in, and it made a big difference. I’d like us to be bowling like them by this time next season!
Man of the match – Charlie Collins with 15 runs and 1 wicket.
Well done all, and hope you enjoyed it – next stop Stalbridge!
