A great result against Stalbridge – although it must be stressed that this was the most inexperienced of their 2 sides.
We bowled really well from the start, limiting Stalbridge to partnerships of 13, 17, 4 and 9 – and Stalbridge finished on 243 for 4. 2 wickets for Cass and 1 each for Olly and Felix, but once again the tigerish fielding and excellent catching (thank you George!) made a huge difference.
When we batted, good contributions were made by all after an opening partnership of 23 by Douglas and Fraser (excellent running between the wickets!). Real impetus came with the final partnership between Felix (20) and Charlie (16) saw the Buckeroos to an imposing total of 305 for 1, a victory of over 60 runs. Wow!
Man of the match – Felix Mounde for his 20 not out, 1 wicket and 2 catches – an all round performance!
A special mention for Harry, who came along as substitute, and then had to be dragged off the pitch as the only slightly late late arrival arrived, if you get my drift! Staunch stuff.
Well done all – onwards and upwards
Robin
